The saddest day.

It was going to end one day, and that day came 11 years and 4 months after PoPo entered this world. She had the most marvellous life. The harsh reality of needing a decision came with the extreme heat of a week ago. Poppy always struggled a bit in the warm weather, and whilst we had been having to help her up for a couple of months, the 30 degree heat added additional breathing issues. She did brighten up considerably with the change to cooler conditions, but she could no longer move around un-aided, so it just wasn't fair to expect her to struggle on with life, just for our benefit.

Goodbyes are always so hard, but for Poppy being such a different dog, where "normal rules" did not really apply, it was doubly hard, but we have to reflect on a wonderful, full life, of 11 years, and where this story started at the vets 11 years ago, where she was originally destined to have no life, we must take heart at this magical life, lived to the full.

Goodbye PoPo, you will forever be in our hearts.
