Wow time is flying - Poppy is now 7.5 months old, and she is really naughty with it. Today she managed to eat her way through my curtain tie-backs! She is almost a normal teenager dog, other than tiring relatively easily. Although earlier this week I was certain she hadn't yet been for her walk and took her out, only to meet Dad half way round our walk who said she had already been out - she coped incredibly well for 2 walks in the space of 30 minutes.
She seems to be pretty stable now with her actual condition, and although she does still sometimes fall down, which is quite distressing for us, as we try to avoid this happening (it mainly happens when she has done too much) on the whole she is managing really well. The only times when it is very noticeable that she is struggling is when it is colder.
When it is mild she really marches out, and she loves to go for her walk. On the way back she stops, demands the ball and won't carry on until she has it firmly in her mouth!
The next hurdle is going to be her season, and then spaying. We have just had Abbie "done" which was a success, so we are feeling a bit better prepared for when we need to approach this with Poppy, or Po as she is now called most of the time. (We still think she looks slightly chinese!)
