It is now December, Poppy will be exactly 9 months old on Christmas Day! Amazing that she has got this far. Since the middle of November she has been getting stronger and stronger, and really has improved so much that she has been almost a normal dog. She has not been carried on her walks, and she has gone all the way to the Church and back - probably at least a mile walk.
She has coped with the frost, but we are now in 7 inches of snow, and the story is quite different. It seems that when the snow and cold get up her legs she really struggles, and yesterday I had to rush out into the garden to rescue her when she fell down and couldn't get back up. It has been a bit of a reality check, but we hope it is only temporary. In the house she is still the same and enjoying annoying Abbie!
In fact yesterday I placed some small Xmas gifts on the tree, and one fell through - I didn't realise this had happened. A few minutes later I glanced through to the living room and noticed Xmas wrapping paper - strange I thought! Then I realised that Poppy was busy chewing on one of son's Xmas pressies!
