Day 5

Another totally clean night - what a clever puppy!  Poppy is so bright early in the morning - she was jumping around when we were getting breakfast ready.  Dad took her for her walk today, to the park again, except she ran most of the way there, and then he described it as a bit like a clockwork toy coming back, as she gradually ran out of steam.

She has had a good brush today and enjoyed it.  Abbie thought it might be OK to be brushed today (normally not very keen!).

Poppy now seems to have quite an appetite eating well at breakfast, lunch and tea.  This should hopefully help to give her as much energy as she can have.  I read a new paper today which said that if a HMLR case gets to 12 months, at which time the disease should stabilise, they may also then show some slight improvements.  At the moment main thing is very much running out of steam, although we are trying not to tire her - she tends to play quite alot with Abbie and Joey.  Tonight was lovely, we thought she was too sleepy to do anything and I took all three into the garden for a play.  Got the tugger out and Poppy was playing with me, when Joey decided to join in - so I let the two of them tug each end.  She loved it and when Joey "won" she bounced all round him trying to persuade him to play again.

She has been munching most of the things she shouldn't today, shoes, sticks, mud and flowers - oh well she still ate her tea!
