Poppy was not totally shattered from her weekend adventures which was good news, although as we still think, her actions are really those of an older dog, rather than a puppy - eat, walk then sleep until next eating session!
She is really bright, and it may be because her mobility is limited her brain is really active. I have played "wait and recall" in the garden once before, but both Monday and Tuesday, she just "got it". She sat on command, waited patiently with a "wait" and hand signal and then came on one call - first time at a bound!
I would think that she finds this great fun, and there is a reward for it as well! Let's hope we have a dry day Wednesday so we can go to DogClub - boots are not yet waterproof, so further revision is required. I have sprayed them today with a shoe protector, so we will see in the morning if this assists.
